About me

Trainer Experience

Hello, I am Kiana Joy, and welcome to my page! I started my fitness journey back in 2017. Growing up I was always athletic, basketball being my first sport at age 5. Aways on a field or a court, my passion has always been routed in physical activity, but the knowledge of nutrition wasn't always there. I wasn't always fit and in shape, I constantly struggled with the rollercoaster of weight fluctuation and body dysmorphia. I remember trying every fad diet in the book, starting at age 10. Nothing seemed to work and I blamed my genetics and slow metabolism. At a certain point I was tired of nothing working, and I started my research. I wanted to like myself, love myself, and be proud of who I was, and it definitely took a lot of trial and error. When I was 20 I fell in love with the sport of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. I studied the art for 3 years under Carlson Gracie. This was my first spark for building strength, and actually drove me to get my Personal Training Certificate through ACE. The first couple years of my training consisted of teaching 1 on 1 hypertrophy training and group HIIT classes. Eventually I transitioned into teaching and loving Spin. Currently I am pursuing my love for Power Lifting while also teaching 1 on 1 Power Building Sessions to build and tone muscle! 

I also offer personalized programing to fit your desired goals for my more advanced lifters!

Views and Opinion

I am all about teaching ways to live a healthy, flexible lifestyle and learning how to listen to what your body truly needs. Being caring and loving to the temple you're in is really what solidifies the change. Self love is a huge role in this change because our mental health can affect our physical health. The real question is, how bad do you want the change? Are you putting the effort in? I am here to help YOU prioritize and keep you ACCOUNTABLE!

 Changing your lifestyle is not easy, it has its ups and downs. I like to think of life as one big ocean, and sometimes we got to ride a few waves. Everyone's journey is different, but I love walks, and I'm excited to go down a few different paths with you! The first step is changing your mindset. Tired of restrictions, spending hours in the gym and not seeing any results? Let me help you fall in love with training and finding healthy alternatives to the foods you already love. Lets nourish and flourish together!

What is Training Like?

Each session starts off with a 5-10 minute warm up, focusing on mobility!

After you are properly warmed we will move over to Compound Training (Squat, Bench, Deadlift) 

Together we will work on form and technique, getting you comfortable and confident with a barbell!

Following our main compound lift with hypertrophy accessories (cables, dumbbells, machines, etc.)


*Keep in mind every session is different depending on what goals you're trying to obtain!
